Forum PA is today
the greatest event of and about the Public Administration taking
place in Italy and it represents a unique model when compared to
similar initiatives in other European contexts, from different
viewpoints: its width, the variety of the exhibition proposals, the
richness of its congress sessions.
Forum PA
represents the occasion to find in the same place and at the same
time all the complex system of Italian central and local Public
Administrations, and of the stakeholders with whom the PA confronts
itself in its government and administrative actions.
Forum PA is
Exhibition:
promoted by the Minister of Public Administration, the exhibition is
structured in two large expo areas, Innovations in central and
local PA, (where all the main innovations of the Government and
its local departments can be found); Exhibition about the
Territory,Local Autonomies, Regions and Chambers of
Commerce show the competitiveness of their own fields. Public and private
companies have a cross-sectional location in the different pavilions,
according to their main reference market.
Congress
section: over 160 meetings where to discuss on reforming Public
Administration and presenting good practices and experiences
Community
of innovators/trendsetters: FORUM PA represents the largest
community of practice in Italythat gathers over 120.000
public sector executives and civil servants (newsletters, awards
etc...)
A
few numbers relating to the 2006 edition may help comprehend
the dimension of the event:
more
than 400 exhibitors, equally divided between Public
Administration - central, local and health companies -
and private companies.
130.000
between real and virtual visitors in 5 days: what happens at
Forum PA is constantly monitored through web TV, real-time press
releases, daily newsletters focusing on the main events, and
everything can be found on the website www.forumpa.it.
Our ‘real' visitors (55.000 in 2006) are mostly sector
operators as well as citizens interested only as customers/users. To
these, some particular participants must be added: in 2006 Forum PA
has been attended by 135 high school classes, coming from 83
different institutes covering a total of 2.390 students.
174
meetings, comprising symposiums, seminars and workshops, 1408
relations presented to 22.166 participants.
FORUM PA 2007: themes
A
five-day event - in 2007 it will take place in May, 21st
to 25th - during which citizens, public
administrations and private companies confront each other with the
key themes of the administrative reform: innovation, quality,
subsidiarity, evaluation, measurement, administrative simplification.
"Change" is therefore the key word: 2007 will be a year
of great changes for Forum PA, from several points of view. Its
content will be the major revolution: the need of a new paradigm is
rising, not a gradual but a deep change of our administrations so as
to bring back an efficient and sustainable PA. These are the key
words for Forum PA 2007: a modern PA in the service of
competitiveness and development. A modern PA does not combine old and
new, but re-invents long-established processes on the basis of
technological and organizational innovation and of a better use of
human resources.
All
the congress sessions are meant to be privileged places for thinking
and exchanging ideas. Besides the regular planning of thematic
meetings, Forum PA proposes, for the 2007 edition, five big areas of
public policies and as many big political appointments.
Organizational
and technological innovation in the PA, quality services to citizens
Right
to health and health quality
Governance
and federalism
Social
inclusion and welfare
Economic
development and competitiveness
The
fil rouge connecting and governing these five areas of public
policies is the necessity of governance models that, in the first
place, help people to develop trust in their Government.
The venue: Nuova Fiera di Roma
The Nuova Fiera di
Roma project aims to create, as of 2006, a fair centre which will
